Hallmarks of Excellence

Hallmarks of Excellence is the annual report to the School Board of Commissioners and to the Burlington Community about learning opportunities afforded the students in the Burlington Public Schools.

The Hallmarks of Excellence address the seven areas of the strategic plans, including: Rigorous Academics; Differentiated Instruction; Enriched Arts, Math, Science and Wellness; Education for a Sustainable Future; 21st Century Learning; Promoting Diversity and Cultural Competence; and Community Partnerships.

The Hallmarks highlight the outstanding offerings in each individual schools, and they evidence our vision of "Excellence and Equity" for all students. The Hallmarks of Excellence were created by the Curriculum Committee of the Board; the Hallmarks of Excellence resolutions were adopted by the Board on August 12, 2008.
