Truancy Prevention Project

Absences from school for any reason, such as illness, vacation, religious holidays, family illness or death affect a student's ability to learn and succeed.  To improve attendance and decrease drop-out rates, the Truancy Prevention Project witnessed a collaboration between the schools and many community and state agencies, to bring an important message to parents, students and the broader community:

School attendance is not just a school problem - it is a COMMUNITY issue - and the entire community needs to support school success.
