In March of 2010 the Vermont Department of Education identified seven BSD schools as not making AYP in one or more areas These identified schools are: Sustainability Academy, Integrated Arts Academy, J.J. Flynn, C.P. Smith, Hunt Middle School, Edmunds Middle School and Burlington High School.

As a result, these schools are required to provide Supplemental Educational Services - extra academic assistance/tutoring to improve eligible students' academic performance - free of charge.

Grades Online

Students and parents can access report cards and classroom assignments online at our high school and middle schools using Snapgrades, available from the school websites.

SCHOOL SCHEDULE

School start and dismissal times are:
  • Elementary Schools:  8:10 - 2:30
  • Edmunds Middle School:  8:00 - 3:00
  • Hunt Middle School 6th Grade: 7:50 - 2:40
  • Hunt Middle School 7-8 Grade: 7:55 - 2:45.
  • Burlington High School:  8:00 - 2:55.
