002 Algebra II______________________________60 hours

This course is a thorough review of Algebra I and expands upon
factoring, equations quadratic functions, logarithms and elementary trigonometry.

American History and development is traced through the important events, ideas, people and institutions which
have shaped our country's history, and covers from after the American Revolution to the present.

011 English 11______________________________60 hours

This English course is a practical course designed for students needing work in basic writing skills
In addition, spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure will be covered.

015 Art, Drawing and Painting I______________________________60 hours

Fundamentals in drawing, perspective, composition and color theory are discussed and practiced in this basic course.
Students will work with pencil, charcoal, pen and ink and watercolor. All materials will be provided.

This course is designed to give the student instruction and practice in reading and writing skills. Topics such as figurative language, and
relationships in short stories and articles as well as writing skills, grammar, punctuation and usage are covered.

029 Environmental Earth Science______________________________60 hours

Students will gain an environmental knowledge of physics, chemistry, geology, astronomy and pollution. Science skills will be acquired through the
study of the environment including the earth and its inhabitants, ecosystems and energy resources.

034 Plane Geometry______________________________60 hours

This course is designed to provide basic knowledge in fundamental ideas and terms, definitions,
assumptions and theorems, proofs, triangles, circles and areas.

050 Pre-Algebra______________________________60 hours

This course will help the student to build a solid foundation for success in Algebra and later
math courses. This course is recommended prior to taking Algebra I.

053 World Geography______________________________60 hours

This course will examine the interaction of human beings throughout the world with their physical and cultural environments. A
survey of the basic principles of geography is covered and the physical factors of climate and natural resources are examined.

056 Electronic Recording Arts______________________________60 hours

This course will introduce students to non-print media (television, film and multimedia presentations). These media will be studied aesthetically, theoretically and technically with a concentration on video production. Students will write, videotape, edit and produce several video programs. Working both independently and cooperatively the student will create and produce effective video programs.

Total good health includes physical, emotional, social and mental well-being. Students will learn new skills, values and concepts around topics such as nutrition, infectious and non-infectious diseases, smoking, substance use and abuse, dealing with emotions, sex education, first aid and personal safety.

086 Advanced General Math______________________________60 hours

Emphasis in this course is on thinking and reasoning in a logical manner and using the Discovery
approach to problem solving in areas of financing, insurance, transportation and other facets of real life.

092 Introduction To Chemistry And Physics______________________________60 hours

This is an introductory course to these two disciplines. We will cover chemical reactions, atomic structure, conversation of matter, Newton's laws,
energy transformations electricity, magnetism and much more. Students should have successfully completed a Core Science or its equivalent.
