Changing Your Password in Gmail

If you are a new Gmail user @bsdvt.org, you should automatically get prompted to change your password upon first login.  Your password must be 8 characters in length and be considered fair, good or strong to be accepted.  Alphanumeric passwords and those with special characters are the strongest of passwords.  “Dictionary word” passwords are the weakest.  

If you are not prompted to change your Gmail password, please follow these steps to change your default password to something of your choosing:

1. Click on your name@bsdvt.org in Gmail in the top right hand corner

2. Choose Account Settings.

3.Under Personal Settings/Security, select Change Password and follow prompts. Save.
