Burlington After School History and Funding

Burlington After School was created in 1999 when the Burlington School District won the first of two major federal grants. The project sought to improve the academics and behavior of students it served.

The project is now supported by two major funding sources - the 21st CCLC federal grant, administered through the Vermont Department of Education, and local funding provided through the Burlington School District. In addition, other state and federal grants, nonprofit grants, program fees and collaborative support from the Project’s major partners help to sustain the program.
