MEET INFO

  • For detail on NE Qualifier Meet info, please read Rule 3 in the VPA TF Rules Book. Inform your athletes about check in/out times, advancement to finals, implements and PV athlete weight-in.

  • Coaches plan your bus departures. Please allow time for weight-ins (8:15 AM-9:00 AM), scratches (before 8:30 AM) and coaches meeting (8:45 AM). First event will start 9:30 AM sharp.

  • Meet will be run according to NHFS and VPA Rule Book. Uniform and jewelry rules will be enforced..

  • Unless seven or less athletes remain in the competition, the bar will be raised when all present athletes cleared, passed or failed to clear the height. Excused, not present athletes participating in other events will be passed to the next height.

  • The head judge may change the order of competition to accomodate those who may be excused to participate in other events.

  • Warm up between flights, heights and finals: One throw, jump between flights. Second warm up (15 min long) before bolted heights in vertical jumps and last 2 flights of horizontal jumps and throws.

  • Tape is not allowed on the track and runways except HJ.

  • Relay running in lanes, a flat rubber marker or 1/2 tennis ball will be used as the only mark to aide outgoing runner to time their start. The host school will provide markers.

  • In field events athletes may provide their own markers. The host school will provide 1/2 tennis balls. Markers must be placed outside of runways. There is a limit of maximum 2 markers per competitor.

  • Implements and PV athletes weight-in will be open between 8:15 AM - 9:00 AM.

OTHER MEET INFO

  • Awards - medals for participants placing 1st-6th in every event will be presented approx. 20 min after a competition of each event final.

  • Teams score will not be kept.

  • Finish line camera pictures will be sold.

  • Food will be on sale at the snack bar.

  • T-Shirts will also be sold.

  • VPA event admission charge $6.00 - adults, $3.00 - students

  • Meet programs will be sold for $2.00

  • Coaches please pay attention to FAT and hand held times conversion and recording.

  • SCRATCHES (before 8:30 AM) are at the table next to the finish /COACHES ONLY - Just come and scratch your athlete from the event list. Please follow the time deadlines. Email scratches welcome TILL FRIDAY 5/30.

ENTRY FEES:
Entry fees will be $7.00 per individual up to a maximum of $82.00 per team. Read team, not school. Please make checks to Essex Student Activities and send to Ed Hockenbury, Essex High School, 2 Educational Drive, Essex Jct., VT 05452. Please send checks in advance - do not bring to the meet.
Fees for late entry - according to VPA TF Rules Book.
