Update on BHS Athletic Field Renovation Project

May 24, 2006
We are all anxiously awaiting the official start of the BHS Athletic Field project. All that we are awaiting is the final approval from the state confirming that all permits are in place. The State of Vermont has two permits to issue for the project; a general construction permit and a stormwater discharge permit. The general construction permit was approved in early May, but the stormwater permit has yet to be approved. It is the Burlington School District's hope that this permit will be cleared at the state level as soon as possible. The general contractor for the project, David White and Sons from New Hampshire, has been approved. This firm has extensive experience in turf field and track construction. When the permitting process is completed they are ready to start digging!
